Excel formula rules

1. Formulas are entered into cells in the same way as numbers or text.
2. The formula is displayed in the Formula bar, where it may also be easily modified (it is labelled with the fx symbol).
3. A formula must always begin with an equal (=) sign.
4. A formula is created on the basis of mathematical rules.
5. After pressing the Enter key, Excel only displays the result in the cell and the formula in the formula bar.
