Deleting Twitter account is fairly simple, however, Twitter does not want you to make mistake or someone to delete the account. Therefore, they let you lock your account in 30 days, after that, if you do not access the account, it will be deleted.
Step 1: Log into your Twitter account. Select Settings (the gear -shaped icon on the right of the web page).
Choose Setting.
Step 2: On the left side of the interface, select Account, then scroll down to the bottom.
Click Deactivate my account.
Step 3: After selecting, you will be switched to another page. On the bottom, click Deactivate
Step 4: Twitter will check whether you want to delete it by entering your password.
After entering the password, choose Deactivate account to complete the process.
Notice: after 30 days since the deletion, the Twitter is really deleted.
With the simple steps above, you can lock your Twitter account and it will be deleted permanently after 30 days.
